Chapter 9 – Pope Benedict on the need for silence

In the last post, in the Youcat’s answer to the question about the Holy Spirit’s activity in one’s own life, the Holy Spirit was named by St Augustine as “the quiet guest of our soul” and we were told that we need to be quiet … because, the Youcat’s answer went on to say, “Often this Guest speaks very softly within us and with us, for instance, in the voice of our conscience or through other interior and exterior promptings.”   The Holy Father seems to be giving a very similar message in these recent remarks (http://youtu.be/MkUCBDdGGaQ):
